Description: |
| The Atlanta Community Food Bank is a non-profit organization supplying food and non-food products to programs in metro Atlanta and North Georgia. Distribution is a segment of the organization that is responsible for the direct distribution of inventory to partners. The Order Pull Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of warehouse duties to facilitate the distribution of pulled orders, inventory control, and daily warehouse maintenance. |
Duties: |
• Pull agency orders in preparation for distribution
• Assists internal/external customers as needed
• Performs general warehouse and freezer/cooler housekeeping
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications: |
• Minimum one (1) year warehouse experience; high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to read and write at the high school level.
• Minimum one (1) year experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and similar equipment.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow safety policies and procedures.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with a diverse workgroup.
• Must be a team player.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds. Must be comfortable working in warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
Preferred qualifications:
• Prefer experience pulling and/or picking orders in a warehouse environment.
• Forklift certification is a plus, but is required by the completion of a 90-day probation period.
