| Thompson Engineering, Inc. has an immediate potential need for a Health & Safety Consultant I who would be willing to work flexible hours and on call for project related work. |
Duties: |
| This position is responsible for auditing company field operations to ensure compliance with regulatory agency guidelines, Thompson polices and procedures and client requirements. Investigate employee work related injuries and serious near misses; determine root cause of incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurances. Provide medical case management for employee injuries to ensure proper treatment. Training and inspection of PPE |
Qualifications: |
| Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of five (5) years of verifiable field experience in a Health & Safety role in an industrial environment, and OSHA 500 or 501 certification. Additional requirements include a working knowledge of OSHA standards and ability to implement policies and procedures to ensure governmental compliance, ability to write and implement Job Safety and Environmental Analyses (JSEAs), conducting onsite audits and training employees on regulatory agency requirements, and effective communication skills with people at various levels of the company including clients. |
