**Position in Richland, WA** * Provide support to the Environmental Strategic Planning group, producing documents resulting from and supporting environmental strategies, reporting and communication of the resulting strategies, negotiation support, and participation/leadership of project teams to implement the strategies for specific projects, including but not limited to the low level burial grounds (SW-2). * Under administrative direction, plans and develops waste site investigative engineering which would focus on CERCLA investigations for removal and remedial activities. * Provide analysis and recommendations based on independent activity and progressive work experience. * Assist remedial activity projects in the planning and execution of their work to ensure safe and compliant waste disposition. * Establish basic guidance regarding waste site investigations for both radiological and chemical constituents as well as project assistance to ensure compliance with CERCLA environmental regulations. * Develop logic, duration, and performance requirements for the project investigative activities section of the project schedule. * Review schedule periodically to ensure the investigative activities are included and maintained in accordance with the project guidelines. * Wage commensurate with education and experience level. |

Qualifications: |
* A BS/BA degree in Engineering, Science, or Earth Science or related field. * 30 years of relevant environmental remediation experience is required. * Working Knowledge of DOE Orders 435.1, CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA and SEPA processes to include remedy selection and implementation. * Demonstrated experience in project management. * Experience in land use planning, performance assessment, risk assessment, and regulator interaction. * Experience should demonstrate ability for innovation, creative thinking, development of unique regulatory solutions. * Previous DOE site or other nuclear facility experience. * Demonstrated success in interface with parties involved with Hanford, DOE, EPA, Ecology, and stakeholder groups. * Must be able to obtain an unescorted badge for nuclear facility, must pass background and drug test. * Must have US Citizenship.
