Associate Director of Finance - Genentech Technical Operations (GTO)
The Associate Director of Finance, GTO, will be responsible for financial management and business advisory to the Hillsboro Fill Finish Operations Business Unit (BU). As part of the Technical Operations Finance group, the successful candidate will drive the creation and execution of capital and operating expense plans. Candidate will lead a team responsible for financial management of filling, packaging, and distribution of Genentech products. This position will interact with senior levels of the Hillsboro leadership team and Biologics technical Operations unit. In addition, he or she will provide senior management with strategic insights for products and functions, supporting the business by providing robust analysis and developing scenarios and financial valuations. This position will be responsible for both collaborating with locate leadership team as well as wider global network.

Duties: |
Job Responsibilities
* Partner with BU management to achieve targeted operating costs and other manufacturing-related financial objectives.
* Work closely with the members of the Biologics Finance Leadership Team (BFLT) at the headquarters and the manufacturing sites in distilling the key drivers of performance and in providing actionable and insightful financial information to support decision making
* Ensure BU management understands key financial metrics (e.g.: production variances, impact of yields, cost per vial, productivity metrics) throughput and support continuous improvement of these metrics.
* Help drive the long term performance of BU by delivering decision-relevant financial information and presentations, as well as key insights into business performance of regions, products and functions
* Actively participate in BU leadership staff meetings in order to understand business drivers and key issues of manufacturing operations.
* Provide decision-support analysis to operational leaders on BU-specific projects / initiatives. Leverage technical financial knowledge and available data to ensure analyses are well founded and thorough.
* Coordinate, review and challenge financial planning exercises capital and operating budgets) and manage the execution.
* Develop and manage a staff to optimize financial business partnership
* Ensure that BU financial and accounting data and records are accurate and aligned with principles governing manufacturing plant operation (IFRS, Genentech Good Operating Principles).
* Support Internal Controls audit activities within the BU. |
Qualifications: |
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
* 9-15 years experience in finance including (included finance related degree)
* Or Professional Accounting qualification (CPA, CA, ACA, CIMA) or MBA and 8 years financial experience in a manufacturing environment.
* At least 5 years in a supervisory role.
