Description

This position, Facilities Technician, is located at Genentech's
Hillsboro, OR. Fill Finish facility, within the Facility Management
department.

Duties:

Responsibilities

Assist with the management of the site and building-related
repairs/maintenance projects occurring in the facility. Areas of
responsibility will include
* Responsible for coordinating vendor service calls and in-
house repairs throughout
the facility.
* Assists in the coordination of maintenance agreements, work
scheduling and clerical tasks.
* May maintain documentation such as power diagrams, network
diagram, space usage, etc.
* Assists with maintaining daily operations of the physical
facility.
* Supports maintenance mechanics and facilities staff by
performing maintenance duties such as furniture moves, simple
electrical projects, spot painting and/or cleaning, light
construction and/or exterior cleanup.
* Works with outside contractors on building and equipment
repairs.
* Operates site equipment as needed, using hand and power tools
as necessary.
* Function as a liaison between Facilities and customers when
necessary.

Qualifications:

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Two years experience
in Facilities is preferred. Biotech experience is helpful. Must have
basic computer skills such as MS Word and Excel, use of spreadsheets,
e-mail, etc.
Must be articulate, personable, and flexible and have a positive and
mature attitude.
Must have a strong work ethic and demonstrate dependability and
timeliness.
Demonstrate a history of working safely and successfully in a cross
functional team. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Must
be able to climb ladders and work at elevations up to 30 feet.
