Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Java Developer

Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) Java Developer is to work with engineering, IT and operation's teams to develop the tools necessary for configuration management, network automation, auditing and reporting. This position provides leadership for activities in the engineering area with a primary focus on optimization of operational tasks. Improve diagnostic capabilities. Drive productivity of proactive event management from network and server data sources. Has an expert level of software skills to develop and automate many common network tasks.  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Capable of crafting SOA using SOAP
• Able to gather necessary service requirements
• Assist in setting aggressive schedules and defining the scope
• Performs other related duties as assigned and required  

NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs other related duties as assigned and required  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Skilled in Java Development  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 2+ years Java Development
• Background in Networking and Telecommunications beneficial  

SPECIAL FEATURES  

• SOAP familiarity, in particular using Axis2
• Object relational mapping experience using Hibernate
• Postgres database queries and stored procedure
