GENERAL SUMMARY The Technical Project Manager creates project plans and drives project implementation at a variety of scales: from company-wide to property/network specific. This project management professional uses their technical insight and experience in engineering & operations focused organizations to develop plans and organize teams for success. A strong, demonstrated foundation in project management methods and procedures is required. This position requires excellent communication skills coupled with a strong knowledge of best practices network engineering. The candidate should posses a good understanding of Voice/Video/Data deployments to residential communities; a strong understanding of at least one technical area is desirable: Ethernet/IP networking, Voice over IP, Video over IP, Video & Audio distribution. The job requires a project management professional with the technical, communications, and leadership skills to identify critical engineering and operational milestones within a task. This team member will work with other Project Managers in the PMO as both a peer and as a contributor for detailed technical interactions. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides technical direction for multiple projects, from definition phase through implementation.
- Creates and executes development plans across multiple projects and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Keeps peer project managers well informed of status of development effort, and serves as liaison between development staff and project manager and/or client across multiple projects.
- Manages multiple technical teams within budget and project schedule.
- Excellent Communication: Written and verbal, with different department members, task owners & management.
- Leadership: Evokes creative and innovative thinking from team members while helping them to bring company goals to fruition.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES - Solid understanding of the project development process, including: requirements gathering, requirement analysis, tracking and resource management
- Strong analysis, integration, and implementation experience with technologies
- Technical proficiency in hardware and systems software, as well as experience implementing packages and working with vendors
- A good understanding of Voice/Video/Data field deployments. A strong understanding of at least one technical area is desirable:
o Ethernet/IP networking o Wireless Networking o Voice over IP o Video over IP o Voice, Video & Data construction - Ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills for refining existing theories or developing new system approaches to seize opportunities and sustain business success
- Ability to present and explain technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent military service
- 4 to 6 years project management experience in information systems and/or business experience
- Experience with service provider operations involving FTTH construction, deployment and testing of services is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership of enterprise wide, multidiscipline, high-performance work teams/groups
- Quick learner, with a background of successfully implementing new technology
- Demonstrated competency in project management and the execution of multiple or large projects across departments
