Description: |
| Mortgage Loan Closer is responsible for ensuring that all system data corresponds with all document data. Mortgage Closer also reviews and approves the HUD-1 settlement statement prior to closing. |
Duties: |
1. Schedules loan closing, compiles and types closing documents.
2. Reviews approved HUD-1 to determine conditions that must be met prior to closing, such as purchase of private mortgage insurance.
3. Calls borrower, Real Estate Broker, and Title Company to request specified documents, such as receipt for payment of outstanding tax bill.
4. Verifies accuracy and consistency of specifications on documents, such as title abstract and insurance forms.
5. Types closing documents and assembles documents for delivery to Title Company, Real Estate Broker, or Lending Officer for closing.
6. Answers questions regarding closing requirements.

Qualifications: |
| Positions requires acuracy and ability to coordinate and prioritize workday efficiently. Individual must be a self-starter, conscientious, comfortable with detail, able to exhibit professionalism in communication skills, possess excellent typing skills, and must be able to work under the pressure of deadlines. Previous mortgage experience and familiarity with terminal input beneficial. Requires six (6) to twelve (12) months to learn all aspects of the position. |
