Must be a Nurse Practioner or a Physician Assistant
Full time Monday through Friday. |
Duties: |
Provides primary, acute, chronic and emergent care to patients.
Orders and interprets diagnostic tests as indicated.
Prescribes medications as indicated by patient condition. Has working knowledge of medications, their effect and interactions.
Documents all patient care in a timely and complete manner.
Maintains collegial relationships with other providers and staff.
Demonstrates commitment to a teamwork environment.
Mentors and teaches colleagues, students and other staff.
Acts as a patient advocate.
Treats patients, families, staff and colleagues with respect.

Qualifications: |
Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing or physician assistant program.
Training and Experience: A minimum of one year experience is required. Orientation is based on previous knowledge and experience. Additional education/training in a related field is considered on an individual basis. ACLS, PALS, CPR certifications. ATLS audit encouraged.
Job Knowledge: Encompasses a wide range of nursing, psycho-social and medical information which includes nursing process, communications and problem-solving, assessment and prioritizing skills.
