Summary:
Performs the functions of data manipulation on the computer network, initiating jobs for production and laser printing on specific Xerox equipment, staging printed jobs in the production area all to ensure a smooth transition flow through production, in order to meet the delivery deadlines of each customer while maintaining quality standards. |
Duties: |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Works closely with Facility Managers, Supervisors and leads to assist with customer required directives, deliveries, changes, emergencies, problems with data and special files by printing accurately and efficiently. Is responsible for minimizing waste and misuse of raw materials. Communicates well with fellow associates, project coordinators, and the Facility manager, while performing laser print functions by following daily job schedules. This requires being familiar with all customers, their special needs as well as production schedules to make sure the correct information is communicated.
Completes multiple tasks on multiple printers at the same time to help the work flow process. Juggling the tasks of running the current customer being laminated, printing re-runs and starting the next customers work based on the schedule of that day.
Uses TCM system to log time and materials accurately. Follows department guidelines for TCM activities.
Keeps the work order system up to date and organized at all times. Maintaining records of jobs printed, tested and checked via log book and/or computer documents.
Ensures printing quality standards are being met, by sampling, viewing and checking as print jobs are processed.
Helps maintain Xerox equipment by placing service calls to appropriate service technicians.
Maintains all inventory levels and pre-printed items that are stored in the warehouse and in the front shelving units in the correct locations making sure they are stacked neatly and in the right direction.
Make sure that data from each customer is arriving on time, and if not, alert a supervisor so they can make the necessary phone calls or decisions regarding that data being late.
Follow any other instructions given to you by supervisors and/or management to complete other tasks, including distribution and machine room functions ensuring that the objective is accomplished, within the time frame allotted.

MUST BE WILLING TO WORK NIGHTS and WEEKENDS.
Education and/or Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year job related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with Xerox, Canon, or other DIGITAL Print Equipment a must. 
LANGUAGE SKILLS/MATHEMATICAL SKILLS/REASONING:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general simple instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups situations, one on one conversations, clients, customers, vendors and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral diagram and schedule form.
Physical Demands:
Job requires standing over 2/3 of the time on a daily basis.
Requires daily lifting up to 50 lbs.
Requires close vision (at 20 inches or less) and color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors) for quality control standards
Uses hands to finger, handle or feel over 2/3 of the time daily. Reaches with hands and arms.
Work Environment:
Subject to loud noises 8-12 hours daily. |
