Description: |
| Coordinate and take ownership of designated purchasing activities related to company products, packaging, displays, and other materials. Collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to ensure the timely completion of projects. |
Duties: |
- Purchase products to standards and specifications set forth by Basic Research Product Life-cycle Management software.
- Ensure product arrives by due date.
- Keep due dates accurate on purchase orders.
- Inform Product Managers and Materials Management on status of purchase orders.
- Communicate with vendors on status of orders.
- Administer multiple tasks and change controls.
- Collect vendor management data.
- Attend non conformance meetings, determine disposition of items, and work with vendors on root cause analysis.
- Attend daily department meetings.
- Analyze MRP.
- Manage offsite inventory.
- Update specifications, and pricing in the Product Life-cycle Management software.
- Monitor Inventory Levels.
- Continually evaluate processes and vendors for cost savings and ways to reduce lead-times and inventory.
- Other duties assigned by manager. |
Qualifications: |
- Degree in Materials Management and 2 years of experience in an ERP environment, or 4 years of related work experience.
- Experience in a GMP environment, (CGMP a plus)
- Working experience in ingestible, cosmetic, or food industries.
- Knowledge of the printing industry.
- Ability to interface with all aspects of the company.
- Ability to analyze MRP reports and calculate requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication. Organizational Skills a must.
- Ability to respond quickly to an ever changing industry. |
