Description: |
| Receiving Clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. To perform a variety of clerical recordkeeping and reporting functions for a manufacturing or service department. |
Duties: |
1. Records and reports shift and daily totals of machine production.
2. Calculates actual production and determines balance due on orders to be run. Prepares and maintains records of raw materials used.
3. Prepares and maintains employee records such as attendance, overtime, vacation requests, training and progression hours, and employee addresses and telephone numbers. Calls in employees for overtime work as directed by supervisor.
4. Prepares weekly staffing chart for review and approval of supervisor. Advises other departments or human resources department of employees available for transfer or when additional employees are required.
5. Performs various clerical duties such as photocopying, filing, sorting, and distributing department paperwork. Receives and relays telephone messages.
