Location: Bear Valley Branch Library, 5171 W. Dartmouth Ave. at S. Sheridan Blvd.
Status/Schedule: Regular, full-time, 40 hours per week. The schedule will be determined by the needs of the department and may include evening and weekend hours.

Duties: |
| Duties and Responsibilities: Creates positive experiences for library customers by checking out and returning books and other library materials, registering customers for library cards, placing holds and ordering books and other library materials from other agencies, correcting database holdings and other varied clerical duties. |
Qualifications: |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of office practices and procedures. Skill in operating a computer, working with attention to detail, and ability to make simple mathematical computations. Skill in interpreting, communicating and presenting information. Ability to thrive working in an environment with constant public contact with people from all backgrounds and age groups. Ability to demonstrate positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and a sense of humor in working with customers, coworkers, and community. Ability to creatively problem solve, negotiate and handle stressful situations in a positive manner. Ability to multi-task and prioritize. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Must be fearless, fun, and flexible.
Experience: One year of experience in performing general clerical work, including experience providing customer service.
Special Requirements: All applicants must have passed new hire probation. A physical examination and background check must be passed after the offer to hire has been made.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
