Description:

The Cedar Park Center (http://www.cedarparkcenter.com/) and Texas Stars (http://www.texasstarshockey.com/) organization delivers fun, family entertainment including sports, concerts and other events, bringing energy, excitement and new business to the Cedar Park, Round Rock and Northwest Austin area.

Working for this organization means being a part of the premier entertainment venue of the area, the place where people go to relax, have fun and meet friends.  The Cedar Park Center and Texas Stars organization will be hiring a large team of part-time workers, all geared toward professionally putting on an amazing line-up of premier events.

The Camera Utility position will assist in camera, game clock, clear com and equipment set up, cable running, cable wrangling and equipment strike. Support broadcast room as directed during event and also assist facility.

Duties:

 

  • Assist set-up of cameras, clocks and equipment as directed;
  • Properly maintain and protect assigned equipment;
  • Properly strike and store equipment as designated;
  • Assist department in maintaining high level of event production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee should also have the following qualifications:

  • High School education or the equivalent,
  • Camera Utility/Operator or similar technical experience (preferred)

Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Be customer-service oriented, have a fan-friendly attitude and professional appearance at all times;
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as event scripts;
  • Ability to speak effectively to customers and other employees;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Ability to multi-task.

Physical Demands:

  • Position requires the ability to run camera equipment as designed including the ability to, walk, talk, hear, stand for extended periods of time and climb stairs;
  • Position requires the ability to stand up to five hours without a break,
  • Position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, during events, the noise level may be loud;
  • Employees must be able to work on evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
