Description: |
| This position maintains buildings, property and equipment at all of the Authoritys locations. Interprets blue prints, electrical schematics and mechanical drawings, as well as trouble shooting and repair of motor controls, commercial air conditioning systems, hydraulics and other vehicle maintenance support equipment. Duties may involve working with high voltage, high pressures, and at heights over one story. This is a skilled position |
Duties: |
Performs preventative maintenance functions on all maintenance equipment and buildings.
Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and mechanical failures of shop equipment.
Repairs and installs plumbing and fixtures.
Participates in the construction of offices or alterations and remodeling of buildings owned by the Authority.
Maintains fences, irrigation systems and asphalt parking surfaces.
Assists lower level technicians on minor repairs.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: |
Experience:
Minimum three years of experience in service and maintenance of machinery and equipment, or an equivalent of formal training and experience is required.
Knowledge and Skills:
Standard methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the service and maintenance of machinery and equipment.
Motor controls and circuits as well as single and three-phase electric motors.
Working knowledge of occupational hazards, precautions and safety requirements of the associated job duties.
Care of materials i.e. decals, metal, glass and wood.
Education:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. certificate

$18.18/hr
Facilities Maintenance-Master
$20.43/hr
