Description:

The Cedar Park Center (http://www.cedarparkcenter.com/) and Texas Stars (http://www.texasstarshockey.com/) organization delivers fun, family entertainment including sports, concerts and other events, bringing energy, excitement and new business to the Cedar Park, Round Rock and Northwest Austin area.

Working for this organization means being a part of the premier entertainment venue of the area, the place where people go to relax, have fun and meet friends.  The Cedar Park Center and Texas Stars organization will be hiring a large team of part-time workers, all geared toward professionally putting on an amazing line-up of premier events.

Operate camera and provide live event coverage as directed by the Event Producer and Technical Director. Assist in the execution of the event script, as assigned, assuring all event elements and corporate sponsorship obligations are fulfilled while enhancing the overall live sporting event atmosphere.

Duties:

Run camera as directed by Event Producer/Technical Director; Maintain or exceed live event production standards & expectations; Properly operate, maintain and protect assigned equipment; Properly strike and store equipment as designated.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The employee should also have the following qualifications:

Experience / Education:

  • High School diploma or GED and similar experience in events, sports, or entertainment.
  • 2 years camera operator experience (live sporting event experience preferred)

Skills and Abilities:

  • Customer-Service orientation, with a fun, friendly attitude and professional appearance at all times
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as event scripts;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Technically savvy with Ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quickly.

 Other Qualifications:

  • Employees must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
  • Employees must have reliable transportation to and from work

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires the ability to run computer equipment as designed including the ability to, walk, talk, hear, see, stand for extended periods of time and climb stairs;
  • Position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Position requires the ability to sit up to five hours without a break.

Work Environment:

  • The noise level during events may be very loud
  • The environment is energetic and fast-paced
  • The broadcast areas can become crowded with equipment and people
