Graphics Designer

Description:

Primary responsibility of the Graphic Designer is to produce still graphics for the in-house video displays here at the Cedar Park Center.  Possible event day responsibilities and video archiving opportunities could be available as well. 

Essential Functions:

• Produce still graphics for multiple video displays as directed;
• Consistently familiarize yourself with software, content and creative techniques
• Assist department in maintaining high level of graphic production
• Possible event night production opportunities
• Possible video archiving opportunities

Required Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

• High School education or the equivalent, some college preferred
• 2 years graphic design experience
• In depth knowledge of, and experience with Adobe Photoshop

Skills and Abilities:

• Customer-Service orientation, with a fun, friendly attitude and professional appearance at all times
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as event scripts
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Technically savvy with Ability to multi-task, cross-train and learn new skills quickly
• Employees must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
• Employees must have reliable transportation to and from work

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to run computer equipment as designed including the ability to, walk, talk, hear, see, stand for extended periods of time and climb stairs
• Position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Position requires the ability to sit up to five hours without a break

Work Environment:

• The noise level during events may be very loud
• The environment is energetic and fast-paced
• The broadcast areas can become crowded with equipment and people
