Description: |
The Channel Marketing Specialist supports sales and provides tools to meet sales targets and market share goals. Obtains direction from VP of Marketing. Works cross-functionally with sales, product management, Channel Marketing and MarCom when creating marketing plans. Delivers and develops channel marketing programs to build awareness, generate demand and close revenue opportunities. These activities may include planning, developing and implementing marketing programs for distributors, resellers and marketing. Leverages all available Marketing Services resources to deliver marketing programs that directly contribute to revenue goals established by Sales and Marketing management. Conducts analysis to evaluate and measure program effectiveness. Works cross functionally to improve and implement processes. Develops ongoing process improvements to ensure timely delivery of marketing program materials.

Duties: |
• Translate strategic objectives into action oriented marketing plans and programs to achieve key growth targets.
• Manage and drive key programs and initiatives that enable our partners to effectively grow sales of VTech products.
• Co-develop and execute compelling marketing plans and promotional programs that drive long-term brand equity and short term results.
• Collaborate with product management, Channel Marketing, sales and marketing communications teams to execute integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and incremental sales.
• Team with sales managers to provide marketing support for assigned Reseller accounts to achieve revenue and margin objectives.
• Collaborate with product managers to maintain accurate product information on account specific deliverables, web presence and other collateral.
• Execution of marketing deliverables including partner events, training, partner sales promotions and channel advertising placement (print & online) and product launches.
• Provide internal and cross-functional education of channel requirements. Channel program project development and management for respective channels (i.e. take ownership of new program development and delivery).
• Creation, execution and reporting results of channel partner marketing plans.
• Management, tracking and ROI reporting of allocated marketing expenditures.
• Manage digital assets required for partner promotions, marketing programs and maintain oversight of accuracy of content online across relevant websites.

Qualifications: |
• Effective skills in self-direction with minimal supervision from VP of Marketing.
• Ability to develop and implement business case for profitable programs and promotions.
• Adept at maintaining strong and fruitful relationships across all internal organizations.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, organizational, research and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage activities, make effective recommendations, make independent decisions using sound judgment, and communicate information in a clear, understandable and informative manner.
• Ability to conduct professional presentations for internal and external customers concerning strategic direction and vision for assigned products.
• Strong attention to strategic marketing.
Education and or Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Communications from an accredited university or the equivalent of course work, study and work experience to perform the specific responsibilities of the position.
• 3-5 years experience in a VAR’s channel marketing role with demonstrated success in the following areas: creative writing/design, copywriting, marketing account management, channel program/promotion development and management and channel communications.
