Description: | Large electronic distribution company is seeking a highly knowledgeable and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to manage the everyday maintenance and repairs of a warehouse/office and retail building.
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for routine and extensive preventative maintenance, repair procedures and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment , motor controls, and utility systems in a warehouse/office/retail building, This is a hands-on working supervisory position for a 24/7 365 day operation.
| Duties: | PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Schedules, assigns, directs, motivates, monitors, and evaluates the work of maintenance workers; assesses training needs to ensure successful completion of short- and long-range projects; trains employees on equipment operation, new material installations, and proper procedures; participates in the employee selection process and effectively recommends hiring; ensures safety rules are followed; reviews and approves employee time sheets.
2. Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, equipment, and systems.
3. Reviews job orders to determine work priorities.
4. Schedule repair, maintenance and installation of machines, tools, equipment and systems to ensure continuous production operations.
5. Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas or air required for operations.
6. Develops and administers preventative maintenance programs
7. Inspects operating machines and equipment for conformance with operational standards.
8. Confers with management team to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment
9. Handle administrative paperwork for all maintenance subordinates (approves hours, write performance reviews and handle disciplinary actions).
| Qualifications: | KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. 5 years manufacturing or distribution maintenance supervisory experience
3. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical carton conveyor systems
4. Knowledge of Hytrol conveyors, Sick scanner and PLC control logic is a plus
5. Knowledge of motor control systems
6. Advanced skills required in the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, and carpentry
7. Basic knowledge of forklift equipment, uses, maintenance and charging
8. Ability to read and understand schematics
9. Experience supervising up to five (5) mechanics
10. Understands and follows all government regulations and requirements (i.e. OSHA)
