Description:

Heritage Federal Credit Union, a $366 million community chartered credit union located in Newburgh, Indiana and recognized as a the number one credit union in Vanderburgh and Warrick counties in Return of Member is currently seeking a Chief Lending Officer.

This position is a member of the Executive Management Team as well as the Asset Liability Committee. Competitive salary and excellent benefit package including a 401k plan.

Duties:

This position will report to the CEO and will be responsible for all loan operations including consumer, indirect and the mortgage lending areas. This position requires an exceptional communicator that can effectively communicate with all levels of the credit union staff to ensure positive and clear understanding of all credit union goals and objectives.

The ideal candidate will be a proven strategic leader with the ability to interpret and implement federal lending rules and regulations by incorporating them into written policies and procedures as well as ensuring compliance though staff training. This position requires an individual with strong team building skills and the ability to develop staff through coaching and mentoring. This person will need experience with product development including testing and implementation.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have a high level of technological understanding and the ability to apply that knowledge to business applications that enhance productivity and streamline processes. Additional requirements include experience with Indirect Lending, computerized decisioning software, on-line application programs and interfaces, and risk based pricing. Requirements for the mortgage area include experience in underwriting to the secondary market standards, selling mortgages and retaining the servicing.

The Chief Lending Officer position requires a bachelor’s degree preferably in a business related field, 7-10 years of job related experience with at least 5 years at the senior management level.
