| Directs and coordinates development and production activities of information technology department by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. |
Duties: |
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Applies positive communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with guests and employees (internal and external at all times)
•Oversees development of policies and procedures for carrying out computer operations
•Meets with subordinate supervisors to discuss progress of work, resolve problems, and ensure that standards for quality and quantity of work are met
•Adjusts hours of work, priorities, and staff assignments to ensure efficient operation, based on current work load.
•Reviews daily logs and reports prepared by Network and System Administrators to detect recurring network slowdowns or errors
•Ensures that all new gaming vendor hardware and software agreements/contracts require the vendor to adhere to the tribal minimum internal control standards 542.16(a)(1)
•Meets with Network and Systems Administrator to determine impact of proposed changes in hardware/software on computer operations and service to others
•Evaluates new software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with existing software and hardware
•Evaluates proposed data processing projects to assess adequacy of existing hardware, and recommends purchase of equipment
•Develops budget and monitors expenditures and formulates and administers departmental budget
•Ensures unrestricted access to secured computer areas is limited to I.T. personnel and Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission. Non-I.T.\MIS personnel must have an escort, written permission and or monitored by surveillance. Written permission by I.T. management and/or Soboba Tribal Gaming commission to enter into secured computer areas must be obtained before access is permitted 542.16(a)(5)
•Develops annual goal and objectives
•Coordinates computer maintenance schedule
Supervisory Responsibilities:
•Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise IT Technicians.
•Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Also directly supervises one non-supervisory employee.
•Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
•Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
•Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university preferred; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
